SUPER RARE UNUSED CONCERT TICKETS

MY GENERATION proudly offers the following tickets from Curtis Hixon Hall, Tampa Florida. The tickets listed below are all in mint unused condition and were printed by the Globe Ticket Company. These are all from a small concert hall in Tampa which no longer exists as it was demolished in the early mid 1980's. We have very, very small quantities of these tickets (only one of some titles) and they will not last long. The hall is infamous for several reasons: 1) Janis Joplin was arrested here for inciting a riot. 2) Eric Clapton and Duane Allman played one of their first concerts together here in the band, Derek and the Dominoes (see ticket below!!) 3) Patti Smith fell from the stage during a show and required immediate hospitalization. Tickets are listed with Artist, Date, (color version if applicable), Price. Call with any questions you may have we would be happy to answer them. Thank you for taking the time to read through our listing...have fun!

The History Behind The Tickets.

We are proud to offer a piece of Rock n Roll history to our customers. The following tickets are all authentic vintage tickets from 2 venues in Tampa, Florida USA. We feel that these quality tickets will make a great addition to any collection and stand to be a very profitable investment in the years to come due to their scarcity. The venues were Curtis Hixon Hall and McCay Convention Center, both of which no longer exist. Curtis Hixon Hall was the feature venue for recording artists from the early 1950's through 1986 when the building was demolished for redevelopment. The venue is infamous and made it's mark in Rock n Roll history as the place where Janis Joplin was arrested for inciting a riot, calling the police "pigs".  Patti Smith fell off the stage at Curtis Hixon Hall during her wild performance and required immediate hospital care. Patti was so badly hurt that the tour was cancelled and she had to wear a neck brace for three months. It was during this hiatus that she wrote much of her well known poetry.

These tickets were aquired from an employee of a salvage team sent into the building before the building was demolished. He was surprised to find that there was a small quantity of each of these tickets neatly boxed in the storage room of the facility. These tickets are all directly from the box office of Curtis Hixon Hall (they were also a ticketcenter for McCay Convention Center)! The tickets were never handled by the customers they were meant for. Along with these tickets we received hundreds of letters requesting tickets as well as submitting payment for each of these shows. Over the years many customers that did not make it to the events, simply never claimed their tickets for these shows (Many of which were SOLD OUT shows!!) Just think...some of these tickets are the only unused full tickets in existence for the shows that were sold out, every other ticket was torn in half as they were handed to ushers upon entrance to the concert. The only reason they still exist is because they were never claimed at the box office by their owners. We have documentation proving beyond any doubt that these tickets are all authentic and original. We would be happy to share that information with you upon your request. We also have several complimentary handwritten tickets on Curtis Hixon Hall Complimentary Ticket Forms for some of these shows. They were held at the box office and issued to V.I.P.'s, the press and recording industry executives attending the event. Please inquire if you have an interest in the complimentary passes or if you have any questions concerning the tickets listed below. You can send us an email directly from this website by clicking the feedback button on the toolbar at the top of this page. As always thank you for choosing Acme Toy Company and My Generation Rock n Roll Collectables as your source for quality collectables. You can click on any of the images below for a larger photo of each ticket! We also have another page of ticket photos.
